Rockaway Beach

Surf Club

Rockaway Beach Surf Club is part bar, part restaurant, part cultural hub—and fully rooted in the Rockaway community. We’re here for good waves, good people, and the collision of surf and city life that makes this place one of a kind.

What started as a scrappy idea in Rockaway Beach grew into a space where people could create, connect, and hang. Early on, it became a home for art, music, and collaboration—and quickly turned into something bigger.

When Hurricane Sandy hit, the Surf Club stepped up as a grassroots hub for recovery—neighbors helping neighbors. That same energy still drives us.

Over the years, we’ve hosted everything from the Women’s Surf Film Festival to weddings, live music, art shows, and long summer nights that turn into stories. At the end of the day, we’re just a place to gather, celebrate, and keep Rockaway’s creative, surf-driven spirit alive.
